The European Commission has launched a public consultation on the eIDAS Regulation: It will be open until 2 October 2020 and will take into account the latest technological and policy developments. 28.07.2020
The European Commission ran a pilot project on Qualified Web Authentication Certificates (QWACs): It demonstrated how to implement QWACs, which authenticate websites by providing trusted information about the identity of persons or legal entities behind a website, through an implementation that decouples QWACs into an attribute certificate and a base certificate, which are cryptographically linked. 20.07.2020
