ABOUT SEALED
SEALED is a Belgian consultancy founded in 2005 by Sylvie Lacroix and Olivier Delos, two senior information security consultants specialised in digital identity, trust services and cryptography. We act as architects of your trust and identity services: from analysis and design to the organisation and follow-up of their implementation, including the drafting of RFPs and the selection of the most appropriate solution providers.
Our work today covers the eIDAS Regulation and its implementing acts, including EU Digital Identity Wallets and qualified trust services, the once-only technical system (OOTS) of the Single Digital Gateway, identity proofing, PKI and IT security risk management. We advise governments in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, EU institutions and agencies such as the European Commission and ENISA, and large enterprises, and we contribute actively to standardisation.
TRACK RECORD
- Key players in the creation of E-Trust, the first certification service provider recognised in Belgium for issuing qualified certificates, and in the PKI of the Belgian electronic identity card (eID).
- Studies for the European Commission that paved the way for the eIDAS Regulation and its implementing acts, from the cross-border interoperability of electronic signatures to Trusted Lists.
- Ongoing support to the European Commission on the eIDAS Regulation, including its 2024 revision, and security expertise for the once-only technical system (OOTS) of the Single Digital Gateway, focusing on IT security risk management and trust models.
- Leadership of ETSI Special Task Forces on signature validation and identity proofing, and editing of key standards for trust service providers.
- Support to governments in Europe, Africa and the Middle East: licensing and supervision schemes for trust services, RFPs for eID, identity proofing and EU Digital Identity Wallets.
- Support to ENISA on electronic identification and trust services.
